These dyes are fixed using natural processes. Your weaving has been washed once, when the bulk of the excess dye has left the weaving. Both wool and alpaca are naturally durable and soil resistant. If you happen to spill something on your weaving, immediately try to clean off the surface using a damp cloth.

Whether wool or alpaca, if you need to wash your item, use cold or luke warm water and a soft soap, wool wash, or even baby shampoo. Gently squeeze through suds without wringing or twisting and then rinse a couple times. Make sure the water stays the same temperature between washing and rinsing. Lay out the weaving on a towel away from direct sunlight, and turn every few hours.
